Self-Care Strategies to Prepare for a New Relationship: Building a Strong Foundation

Why exercising might seem difficult

To be honest exercising is not my favorite thing in the world but it is important. You know… health wise.   A younger me hardly exercise and it took a toll on me when I clocked 30. Though I did some dancing in school and sports activities that involved competition –though, that was in primary school, lol. The thing is I only exercise when it’s fun or because i feel like it, which involved mostly dancing. And I do this like maybe twice amount, which was not enough.

7 Things i Regret Doing in Life

There are a lot of things I wish I knew before starting it; whether is a career move, relationships, dealing with family... Most times its when we fail we learn but I always wondered why I didn't have anyone to advice me, someone close to look up to. Sometimes, all we need is ourselves to get through a situation, to create something, to be great...and with this comes mistakes, that's how we learn from them. So, here are seven things I regret doing in my life.

How is life with you?

Don’t you wish someone would just ask you that? And I’m not saying just for formalities ,like when a guy chat you up and ask “sup”, “how was your day” cause he is just trying to be polite or just thinks that’s what he supposed to do to show that he cares. I’m talking about someone asking “how is life with you” and really mean it. Like they really want to know if you are okay; not just financially, physically and emotionally.

My Dating experience :My First Love Part 6

The next day, I was waiting for my boyfriend, the agent, anyone … Thankfully, he arrived in the afternoon - he went to the agent house for the key before he came. I was so relieved; I hugged him and he joked about me being locked up. I followed him to give the key back to the agent.

My dating experience :My First Love Part 5 {Cont'd}

We arrived for second semester and it was my last semester in that School. I was excited cause I didn't have to worry about getting through with some courses; not like they were hard but you know they are some annoying lecturers that just enjoy failing people while some just want you to bribe them not to...Either way, I was excited but not too excited cause I would miss my friends.

What I've Been Up to These Past Few Weeks

Sorry guys, I’ve not been online for more than a month now. There is a good explanation for this; you know I told you I’ll be doing some job hunting or training that could lead to a job. Well, this past few weeks was for training on Production Assistant in Media and Entertainment. It wasn’t fun in the beginning but at the end, it was worth it. Not sure I’ve ever been committed to anything like I was with that class. You see, I’ve been unemployed for a year now and I told myself whatever it is I get myself involved in, I would put my 100% (guys, I wish I could do that for this blog but your girl has to put food on the table. Sadly this blog is not doing that just yet)...and I did. Well, sort of since we were shared into groups and didn’t have a say on which group we (well, I didn’t get a chance to pick a group, I was just fixed in one) want to be in.

How to leave a toxic job when you don't have another lined up

The indicators of a poisonous relationship are typically the same, whether it's with a partner, friend, or family member: your views and opinions are not valued, you're the only one ready to compromise or put in work to improve the connection, and you continuously feel like you're walking on eggshells. It may have a significant impact on your mental health and well-being, as I just discovered firsthand. My toxic connection, however, was not with a love partner or a friend; it was with my job.   The term "toxic jobs" refers to unfavourable work settings that put a burden on employees' mental health. These environments often feature abusive managers, discriminatory or harassing conduct, heavy office politics, and a climate of gossip or rivalry.   And these settings are more frequent than you would think: according to a 2020 Emtrain poll, 41% of employees do not believe their company would take a harassment report seriously, and 29% had left a job due to workplac

How to get over someone you love

  Love is a very beautiful thing and it could lead to happily ever after or it could lead to something disastrous.  There is indeed a thin line between love and hate.  But should that stop us from loving anyways? It never does and we shouldn't try to. Just like a One Tree Hill quote; "And if you're lucky, if you're the luckiest person on this entire planet, the person you love decides to love you back.” So why do we want to get over someone we love or used to love? They broke our hearts (maybe not intentionally),we changed and they didn't...Whatever it is, we just want to forget about them and act like it never happened.  Sorry to burst your bubble but you can't forget someone you love or used to love,they are part of you now.  You can only move on.  Does it take time? Yes. Will you find love again, Yes. Is there a time frame to get over someone? No (won't that be great though?) . I don't know where I read or heard this but it says it takes half the tim
